Q.Why should I choose Arceo Roofing, Inc over other roofing companies?
We only hand drive the shingle nails. Nail guns cause the roofer to become lazy on nail placement. By hand driving we can never cause the nail to actually drive thru the shingle surface. I am sure you have seen brand new houses with shingles sliding off the roof. A hand driven roof will never have this problem.
Q. XYZ Contractor told us the old layer of felt will be left as an extra layer of insulation or water barrior, what do we do?
We tear off all old roofing material. If you leave the old felt behind how can you inspect the wood for rot? And the old felt leaves bits and pieces of old fasteners that will cause leaks in your new roof.
Q. I saw my neighbor's contractor re-using the old felt, what do you do?
We always install new felt. We at Arceo can not comprend trying to reuse the old felt or installing the new shingles over bare wood. But we are told by our shingle supplier that we are the ONLY roofing company in the area that orders felt on every job.
Q. What about all the flashing?
We always install new flashing pipe boots. Another corner that is cut by our competition is re using a $5 part on a $6000 roof. They just do not care.
